Nowadays, mobile technologies are no longer just simple 1 on 1
communication, it creates its own society on the smartphone, people be able to
get involved more on each other’s life, Facebook, Instagram, there are tons of
posts and pictures sharing from different people, see by different people
everyday.
In 2012, a video called “Amazing mind reader reveals his gift” was posted on Youtube, it basically about a ‘mind reader’ to reveal different volunteer’s entire life by holding their hands. In the video, the volunteers were shocked and speechless that the “mind reader” can speak out everything of them, such as personal info, hobby, relationships even banking information. But at the end, the “mind reader” moved out the curtain behind him, there was a guy sitting with a computer, and all the information that told by the “mind reader” were actually from the volunteer’s Facebook, so there’s no “mind reader” at all.
From this video, we can see how people’s privacy can be exposed in such
a deadly way. On the other side, we can see how the mobile technologies can
become a threat to our daily life, and how easy that almost everyone can be
able to get your personal information. Mobile technologies might provide convenience,
entertainment, bring people closer to each other, but if we don’t take care of
it properly, it could be the weapon that harm you badly.

Dear Adrian, This is an intriguing example. If this is true, your discussion addresses an important ethical issue. The question is whether the clip was taped for the purpose of promotion or it was taped without the consent of the participant. It seems that the participant knew about recording. In addition, in what ways does this relate to 'mobile' technology?
