Medium is the message

About the “medium is the message”. McLuhan explained, “The effects of technology do not occur at the level of opinion or concepts, but alter sense ratios or patterns of perception steadily and without any resistance”

In my understanding, it means every medium has the message, and the message will affect or change the people live. Furthermore, just the medium forms itself will produce the "effect" or influence, because it’s equivalent to the message. Each new medium will change our thinking and behavior in the past.

McLuhan also stated that "Hot and Cold" media, this concept is about different media invite different degrees of participation on the part and a person who chooses to consume a medium. The “Hot” media have well filled with data and less participation of the recipient is required but the “Cold” media is ‘little’ information and more participation.

In my opinion, I am agreeing his media theory, because I think any medium would affect people think or live. As we can see that, when the people start to use the mobile phone, our social communication was change, we can more easily to find the people, so we reduction face to face to other people. After the smartphone and internet, it has biggest effect with human live. So I think “medium is the message” is true.

For example, instead of saying 'biggest effect with human live' by smartphone and internet at the end, would it be possible to mention what effect you refer to in more detail?
