Nowadays, there are variety social network
integrate to our life. According to my personal experience on pinterest, I have
a public account to share interests with friends and it helps me to connect the
wide world or catch-up the latest information. I like to “pin” image such as quotes, arts and movie clips, but I seldom post a status to express my
feeling. Those “pin” still can represent my character even though I
don’t used to post any status on the site.
However, some of my friends would like to perform as private space on the social network. They used to make a privacy setting to avoid information leak out to the public. Therefore, their backstage behaviors will form it during in these days.
Although, social network
help people find friends whom they have lost contact and connect with them
online again, it is an undeniable fact that
social media such as smartphone created a digital generation gap between youth
and elderly as well. According to the survey by Bob O'Donnell at TECHnalysis
rsearch in 2014, most elderly were struggle with the high-tech integrate to
their life, thus, social media may help new generation group
connect with each other, it may affect to detach from youth to elderly as
well.

Dear Chau ling, the post is impressive as you make use of the Web 2.0 platform to produce a writing with nice inforgrams. In terms of the discussion, what you can do in future is to make reference to some theoretical terms and concepts learnt in class when you do self-reflection. This is particular important in your portfolio assignment. In fact, 'digital divide' and 'the medium is the message' are relevant. Hope that we will have a chance to discuss the former in class later. (Frankie)
