On / Off Life

In our generation, we almost have an account on different social media. we would like to share our status through a photo (video) with some text or emoji everyday. What about me? I just have a Facebook account since 2010.

When I create an account on Facebook, I am keep update my status everyday in few month and also “like” my friend status or leave a comment on their status. Moreover, we can share most recent news or information fast than other media. It is truly can let us understand each other, such as feeling, hobby, favorite film or song. We can respond promptly, but one thing we can not do it on our social media absolutely, it is physical contact. We can add the stickers or emoji with text to increase our modal at online communication. Who know is it their true reaction. From a enthusiastic hug to a congratulatory pat on the back, we have developed complex languages, cultures, and emotional expression through physical contact.

If you really want to keep your friendship, I strongly encourage you to have a face to face meeting with your friends. It is more happy than you have much "like" on Facebook. (200 words)

  1. Dear Jazz, thanks for your sharing. The questions in the guidelines are answered properly. You are advised to review or analyse your own experience from a theoretical perspectives in future. This is particularly important for your short written assignments. In this blog, technological determinism is applicable though I understand that you may have not learnt this before your wrote it up. The blog exercise is freer so don't worry about making error when you apply the concepts and terms learnt in class. (Frankie)
